Top: Sports: Winter_Sports

If your site relates to a specific winter sport, submit it to the category for that sport. The only sites that will be listed at this level are those that relate to two or more winter sports.

Many sports are played in cold environments, on ice or snow. These sports are grouped together under the Winter Sports category.

Curling

Please try to submit your website to the appropriate sub-category of sports:curling if possible. If the page does not have English content please submit to the appropriate world/country/sport category.

All websites about curling.

Events

This category includes links to sites related to winter sporting events, competitions, races and tournaments.

Ski Joring

In ski joring, cowboys and cowgirls on horseback pull skiers around a track complete with ski jumps and gates.

Skiboarding

To avoid delay in listing, please review prior to submission.

Please submit only sites about skiboard equipment and skiboarding to this category.

When submitting your site, please assist us by writing a site description that accurately describes the content of the site being submitted. Although descriptions that capture the personality of a site are allowed and encouraged, marketing hype such as "the best site on the web!" is not. Writing a helpful description will help us review and add your site more quickly.

As always, please be sure that your site contains a great deal of the appropriate subject matter. Even though there are other winter sports out there such as skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, etc.; please make sure that skiboarding carries equal weight if not more within the site. If the site is primarily geared toward another sport more than skiboarding, please look for a different category.

Thank you for assisting the largest human-controlled database.

This sport is the newest revolution in skiing. It has been featured in the ESPN X-Games for several years and has been rapidly growing in popularity.

Be sure to give it a try. Once you do, you will be a believer. With skiboards, you can go to the places skiers can and then some. Find yourself off in deeply wooded back-country and don't worry about your skis being so long you get caught between trees on turns or hit all of the big jumps and rails in the terrain park and don't worry about the added weight of a full-size ski holding you down to earth. Of course if you're just out for the ride, you could just enjoy the day cruising and carving down the mountainside.
